The complexity
Managers needed to navigate a broad collection of onboarding, development, performance, and employee resources.
Guidance was spread across different topics and formats, making it harder to find the right information at the moment it was needed and more difficult to maintain a cohesive experience over time.
What I did
- Reorganized the information architecture around key moments in the manager journey, from hiring and onboarding through goal setting, performance, and career development.
- Connected guidance to action by bringing together workflow timelines, manager responsibilities, worksheets, planning tools, and relevant resources.
- Established a sustainable content structure designed to accommodate evolving guidance without requiring the entire playbook to be rebuilt.
Outcome
- Created a more cohesive reference experience spanning onboarding, team development, performance planning, and employee connection.
- Connected managers to practical tools and resources they could apply throughout the employee journey.
